Blue Girl in a Red State

It's interesting, at least to me, that I would put up a blog now. I mean, now that everyone and his/her cousin is doing the same. Still, I felt it was something to do. I will most likely talk about politics, hence the blog title, but also whatever flys through my head from time to time.

About Me

My photo
Blue Girl
I am a single mom of a fantastic son with Autism and other medical challenges. He challenges my world daily and contributes more than I ever thought possible. I am also the mommie to 4 cats. I am now divorced but the experiences I have had living my life in a biracial union have been interesting. Raising a biracial child also has its unique challenges. My career as a reporter for more than 10 years has given me many strong opinions on politics and community issues. Basically, I wrote anything from political scandals to the church pancake breakfast. I'm a transplanted San Franciscian (note, I did NOT say Friscan) trying to make sense of the culture and people in the Midwest.
